brightwheel is hiring an IT Operations Specialist

About the Role

This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of internal IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and ensuring system security and efficiency across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain network performance and reliability
  • Deploy and manage endpoint devices across offices and remote locations
  • Support internal teams with hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
  • Implement and enforce security protocols for IT systems
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses
  • Respond to IT service requests in a timely manner
  • Assist in onboarding and offboarding employee technology needs
  • Perform regular system updates and patches
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers
  • Troubleshoot connectivity and network access issues
  • Support cloud-based infrastructure and services
  • Document IT processes and configurations
  • Ensure compliance with data protection standards
  • Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • Evaluate new technologies for operational improvements
  • Coordinate hardware refresh cycles
  • Provide after-hours support when necessary
  • Train staff on secure and effective use of IT resources
  • Work cross-functionally to align IT with business goals

Nice to Have

  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or ITIL Foundation
  • Experience in SaaS or technology-driven organizations
  • Knowledge of Jamf or other Apple management platforms
  • Familiarity with networking hardware from Cisco or Meraki
  • Scripting experience in Bash, Python, or PowerShell
