Responsibilities
- Engage in assessments of IT and cybersecurity risks to pinpoint significant organizational threats and determine the boundaries of audit activities
- Develop thorough, risk-focused audit plans and testing methods customized to the organization's technology landscape
- Apply professional expertise in planning audits, prioritizing risks, and setting objectives for complex assignments
- Perform process reviews and fieldwork strictly following established audit methodologies
- Assess the design and effectiveness of critical cybersecurity controls, IT general controls, and application-specific controls
- Create detailed, high-quality documentation that clearly records test outcomes, supporting evidence, and audit conclusions
- Utilize data analytics, artificial intelligence tools, and emerging technologies to improve audit efficiency, automate documentation, and evaluate AI/ML governance and controls
- Identify deficiencies in controls, determine underlying causes, and draft clear, concise audit reports for management and stakeholders
- Communicate findings effectively and secure agreement from stakeholders on appropriate corrective actions
- Collaborate with technology, security, engineering, and other teams to monitor and ensure timely completion of remediation tasks
- Offer risk-informed advisory support during business process enhancements or implementation of new systems
- Mentor, train, and guide team members to promote professional development and knowledge sharing
