Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and implementation of corporate IT strategy, covering identity and access management, endpoint systems, networking, audiovisual and conferencing tools, helpdesk functions, and daily technical support for office teams.
- Manage retail IT strategy and operations across more than 70 locations, including point-of-sale reliability, in-store networks, back-office hardware, RFID systems, and technology deployment for new store launches.
- Leverage technology to enhance customer service experiences in all retail locations. Collaborate with retail leadership to shape technology roadmaps that improve team performance and guest satisfaction.
- Recruit, lead, and grow the IT department, including supervision of corporate and retail IT managers and their teams. Set service standards, mentor leaders, and build internal talent pipelines.
- Collaborate with technology teams to establish and enforce IT security policies, defining protocols for access control, device usage, vendor interactions, and data protection across corporate and retail settings.
- Help define and manage governance frameworks for artificial intelligence, including acceptable use policies, tool standards, data privacy, and risk mitigation. Work with cross-functional leaders to ensure responsible innovation.
- Oversee compliance and audit readiness for IT systems, including SOX, PCI-DSS for e-commerce and retail, and future regulatory standards. Act as primary liaison for internal and external auditors.
- Develop and manage the IT strategic roadmap and budget, focusing on initiatives that increase system reliability, minimize risk, and support business growth.
- Manage the lifecycle of IT hardware, procurement, and associated budgets for both corporate and retail environments, ensuring timely equipment refreshes and proper distribution.
- Supervise relationships with external IT vendors in software, hardware, networking, and managed services. Enforce service level agreements, manage renewals, and cultivate strategic partnerships.
- Collaborate with departments such as Store Operations, Finance, People, and Engineering to deliver technology solutions that improve team efficiency and agility.
- Serve as the top escalation point during major technology outages and lead post-incident reviews to implement preventive measures.
- Expand the retail technology infrastructure and support model to accommodate expansion into new markets and time zones, ensuring reliable coverage and on-call support.
- Travel regularly to retail locations to observe on-the-ground technology challenges and maintain alignment with field operations.
