Work within the Operations Solutions team to support international projects focused on Industrial IoT, smart manufacturing, and IT/OT convergence. Responsibilities
- Assist in deploying, maintaining, and supporting Plant Information Management Systems such as AVEVA PI, including data integration and reporting functions.
- Follow established IT standards when connecting sensors and smart devices to production systems to ensure seamless integration.
- Support the rollout and maintenance of devices used on the production floor, including tablets and smart glasses.
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to implement security protocols for industrial networks.
- Engage in assessing emerging technologies and recommend solutions that align with manufacturing objectives.
- Provide support for IT project delivery using Agile/Scrum or traditional project methodologies as required.
- Be available to work during European shift hours (11:30 AM to 8:30 PM IST) to maintain global operational alignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial IoT, or a related technical field.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a technical or IT support role, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Familiarity with industrial systems, with preference given to experience with platforms like AVEVA PI.
- Knowledge of Windows Server environments and foundational concepts in virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Understanding of data protection principles and secure access controls within operational technology contexts.
- Experience working with SQL Server or comparable databases and basic dashboard or reporting tools.
- Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals, communication protocols, and firewall configurations.
Nice to Have
- Entry-level certification or training in AVEVA PI system administration is advantageous.
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure Fundamentals, Windows Server, or Networking Essentials are preferred.
- Foundational project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2 or Agile) is a plus.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure or AWS is beneficial.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for technical excellence and continuous learning.
