Michels Utility Services, Inc. is hiring an IT Applications Architect – Equipment & Field Technologies

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated expertise in the architectural design of construction equipment lifecycle systems, from request through dispatch, telematics, and maintenance
  • Hands-on experience with asset and equipment management software platforms such as Samsara, Tenna, or comparable solutions
  • Proven background integrating telematics and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies into operational workflows
  • Skilled in designing scalable data pipelines for both real-time and batch processing of high-volume equipment and field data
  • Experience creating integrations between equipment management systems and enterprise resource planning or project management information systems, including job costing, utilization tracking, and maintenance expense reporting
  • Familiarity with geospatial data handling and mapping technologies, including GIS alignment, worksite location tracking, and geofencing capabilities
  • Understanding of safety and regulatory compliance frameworks, including inspection protocols, operator certifications, and incident reporting systems
  • Capable of designing integrated workflows across platforms for equipment dispatch, field service requests, maintenance scheduling, and service history logging
  • Able to implement robust security protocols, role-based access controls, and data governance standards across application ecosystems
  • Experienced in evaluating third-party vendors and managing technology roadmaps for construction operations platforms
