The IT Application Technical Analyst is a mid-level position in the IT Application Analyst job family. The primary responsibility of the IT Application Technical Analyst is to provide highly skilled technical expertise in business application administration. They consult and collaborate with the application analyst, development, and infrastructure teams, as well as business stakeholders to provide a high degree of system reliability, availability and performance.
Perform business application administration
IT Application Technical Analysts perform Business Application Administration tasks as requested. These tasks include patching and upgrades, moving changes to production, security configurations, spool management/administration, batch management/administration, daily health checks (work processes, users, system logs, dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces and disk space), user creation, access rights configurations, backups, and creating/maintaining integration points with other external systems.
Install, upgrade and maintain business application systems
They install, upgrade and maintain business application for Dimension Data companies. They apply Support Packages, Support Stacks, patches and component upgrades. These individuals manage application users, authorisations and profiles. They maintain the integrity of the application system environment by managing the dev, QA, and production systems and the data they contain.
Resolve problems
IT Application Technical Analyst perform troubleshooting and analysis for application technical problems and issues. They work with application and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and analyse problems/issues.
Perform configurations
They configure required monitoring configuration for the business applications systems and databases. The IT Application Technical Analyst performs monitoring and tuning on applications and databases.
Behavioural skills
IT Application Technical Analysts demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate problems and develop/execute appropriate action plans. They demonstrate the ability in exercising initiative and independent judgement on issues, follow-up and resolution. They possess good time management skills and maturity in handling complex issues and requirements with conflicting priorities and deadlines. Job Description: The role is responsible for providing a professional second-line technical support service to clients by proactively identifying and resolving technical incidents and problems. Through preemptive service incident and resolution activities, this role will restore service to clients by managing incidents and seeing them through to an effective resolution. The role is responsible for managing incidents of medium complexity. Key Responsibilities:Provide remote technical support to clients.
Identify root cause of incidents.
Ensure resolution of incidents and service requests.
Participate in performance reviews, identify causes of performance shortcomings and provide suggestions for improvement.
Review the recurring or high impact incidents and manage them through problem management process.
Qualifications: 2+ years experience required in network security administration or support
Experience supporting clients with any of the following technologies: Checkpoint, Juniper, RSA Security, Cisco, F5Proficiency in English & Czech is required Any certifications in the abovementioned technologies would be advantageous
Additional Information: Core business hours will run between 6am – 6pm, you will be required to work an 8 hour shift scheduled during these operating hours.
