Responsibilities

  • Perform business application administration tasks as requested, including patching and upgrades, moving changes to production, security configurations, spool management/administration, batch management/administration, daily health checks (work processes, users, system logs, dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces and disk space), user creation, access rights configurations, backups, and creating/maintaining integration points with other external systems.
  • Install, upgrade and maintain business application systems for Dimension Data companies.
  • Apply Support Packages, Support Stacks, patches and component upgrades.
  • Manage application users, authorisations and profiles.
  • Maintain the integrity of the application system environment by managing the dev, QA, and production systems and the data they contain.
  • Perform troubleshooting and analysis for application technical problems and issues.
  • Work with application and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and analyse problems/issues.
  • Configure required monitoring configuration for the business applications systems and databases.
  • Perform monitoring and tuning on applications and databases.

Requirements

  • Highly skilled technical expertise in business application administration.
  • Ability to consult and collaborate with application analyst, development, and infrastructure teams, as well as business stakeholders.
  • Experience in providing system reliability, availability and performance.
  • Experience in patching and upgrades, moving changes to production, security configurations, spool management/administration, batch management/administration, daily health checks, user creation, access rights configurations, backups, and integration point management.
  • Experience installing, upgrading and maintaining business application systems.
  • Ability to apply Support Packages, Support Stacks, patches and component upgrades.
  • Experience managing application users, authorisations and profiles.
  • Proven ability to maintain integrity of dev, QA, and production systems and their data.
  • Troubleshooting and analysis skills for application technical problems and issues.
  • Experience working with application and infrastructure teams to resolve issues.
  • Configuration skills for monitoring business applications and databases.

Job Description: The role is responsible for providing a professional second-line technical support service to clients by proactively identifying and resolving technical incidents and problems. Through preemptive service incident and resolution activities, this role will restore service to clients by managing incidents and seeing them through to an effective resolution. The role is responsible for managing incidents of medium complexity. Key Responsibilities:Provide remote technical support to clients. Identify root cause of incidents. Ensure resolution of incidents and service requests. Participate in performance reviews, identify causes of performance shortcomings and provide suggestions for improvement. Review the recurring or high impact incidents and manage them through problem management process. Qualifications: 2+ years experience required in network security administration or support Experience supporting clients with any of the following technologies: Checkpoint, Juniper, RSA Security, Cisco, F5Proficiency in English & Czech is required Any certifications in the abovementioned technologies would be advantageous Additional Information: Core business hours will run between 6am – 6pm, you will be required to work an 8 hour shift scheduled during these operating hours.
