Responsibilities
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of network security fundamentals, protocols, and deployment strategies.
- Apply expertise in integrating information systems with physical security infrastructures.
- Possess familiarity with diverse system architectures such as client-server models, web hosting platforms, content delivery servers, policy management systems, directory services, firewalls, WAN and LAN configurations, switches, and routing equipment.
- Support the creation, upkeep, and enhancement of the organization's Information Systems Security Program.
- Oversee the Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) program for information systems.
- Enforce and manage compliance with established information security policies and operational procedures.
- Conduct reviews and provide oversight of Information Systems Security Plans and System Security Plans, including certification and accreditation documentation.
- Ensure all information system users adhere to defined security policies and procedures.
- Guarantee that all personnel complete mandatory technical and security-related training requirements.
- Coordinate and manage information security audits and incident response activities.
- Verify that appropriate protective or corrective actions are implemented upon identification of security incidents or system vulnerabilities.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to evaluate potential threats and system exposures.
- Serve as alternate custodian for Communications Security (COMSEC) materials and responsibilities.
- Support classified storage container audits to ensure compliance with security standards.
