About the Role

Grupo Bolsa Mexicana de Valores is hiring an Interoperability and Integration Specialist to join a pivotal, multi-year transformation project. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining microservices-based interoperability components deployed on AWS, ensuring reliable integrations between Nasdaq platforms and the Post‑Trade ecosystem. This role is central to implementing a commercial technology solution backed by a decoupled architecture from legacy systems, and we are committed to the development and growth of our collaborators.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality interoperability software that exposes and connects diverse systems.
  • Develop software capable of integrating with both external and internal systems.
  • Build an interoperability or integration system to facilitate communication between different heterogeneous systems.
  • Configure and customize packaged software from other vendors.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to improve and implement new technologies.
  • Work with Data Governance to ensure information generated by systems is processed and managed appropriately.
  • Manage the reception, integration, and production implementation of developed and/or packaged software.
  • Partner with colleagues to understand functional and non-functional system requirements.
  • Propose solutions to solve operational problems with software and technology.
  • Define work estimates for projects and system interventions, and create projections.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on code reviews and use collaborative programming techniques.
  • Conduct analysis to determine integration needs, and design and plan these integrations.
  • Implement unit and integration tests, and collaborate with the quality team on performance testing.
  • Develop or use reusable software blocks to accelerate delivery.
  • Improve the performance of existing software through diagnosis and troubleshooting.
  • Manage technical documentation, including software evaluation plans, test results, and technical manuals.
  • When applicable, manage analysis and create new configurations of packaged or commercial software.
  • When applicable, review new versions of packaged software and identify new capabilities.
  • Coordinate coaching and guidance for less experienced Software Engineers.
  • Coordinate the above functions with external providers.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree / Engineering in Systems or Computer Science.
  • At least 5 years of development experience in Quarkus, Java, and microservices.
  • Proven experience of more than 3 years in system integration roles or similar positions.
  • Proficiency with integration patterns using REST APIs, SOAP, messaging, asynchronous processing, and pub/sub.
  • Solid knowledge of AWS: ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB/RDS, SQS/SNS, IAM, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with observability tools: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/Opensearch.
  • Knowledge of Integration Platforms.
  • Application of agile Software Engineering methodologies and tools (RUP, CMMI, PSP, or similar).
  • Knowledge of the stock market cycle business and payment systems.
  • Experience handling integration tools and technologies like ESB, BPM, SOA, etc.
  • Knowledge of interoperability standards and data formats like XML, JSON, etc.
  • Additional language: English (Read, spoken, written - intermediate level).

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of financial protocols like SWIFT, FIX, ISO 20022.
