Eurofins Belgium NL is hiring an Internship - Laboratory Assistant

Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow test methods and equipment operating procedures accurately
• Become familiar with and apply instructions outlined on test worksheets
• Prepare and test laboratory samples under supervision
• Prepare chemical reagent solutions used in sample treatment or analysis
• Contribute to method performance validation through data entry and compilation
• Assist in updating worksheets and documentation using provided templates
• Support sample preservation, storage, retention, and disposal processes
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workbench areas
• Clean and maintain laboratory utensils and glassware for reuse
• Support daily operations in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards within microbiology testing
• Learn and assist in preparing culture media and performing inoculations
• Ensure overall cleanliness and hygiene in the laboratory environment
• Carry out daily sterilization of used media and biohazardous waste
• Assist in recording test results, including tasks such as colony counting
• Provide support with administrative tasks when required, such as record keeping
• Register and manage collection of food samples
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
