Western Digital is looking for an Intern - Software Engineering (Firmware) to join our team. You will develop firmware for cutting-edge technologies that power high-volume hard disk drives, designing, implementing, and validating components using best-practice development methodologies.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, validate, and maintain firmware components for high-volume hard disk drives.
- Participate in design, test plan, and code reviews to ensure firmware quality.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a BS/MS or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Fluency with programming languages such as C/C++/Python.
- Interest in the HDD, flash, semiconductor, components, or nonvolatile memory industry.
Nice to Have
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher in major courses.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Salary range applicable for jobs performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs in those states. Range may be modified. Eligible for Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program with RSUs or cash equivalents, subject to eligibility and plan terms.
