Western Digital is looking for an Intern - Software Engineering (Firmware) to join our team. You will design, implement, validate, and maintain firmware components that power high-volume hard disk drives. We are a company of problem solvers committed to pushing the boundaries of technology.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, validate, and maintain firmware components for high-volume hard disk drives.
- Participate in design, test plan, and code reviews to ensure firmware quality.
- Work on technologies that power high-volume hard disk drives.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing BS/MS or higher in CS, CE, EE or a related field.
- Fluency with programming languages such as C/C++/Python.
- Interest in HDD, flash, semiconductor, components, or the nonvolatile memory industry.
Nice to Have
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher in major courses.
- Exposure to the following via courses, projects, or experience: TCL, MATLAB, Debugging, SAS/SATA Bus Trace Analysis, JTAG ICE (using GHS probes and Arium probes), TCG, FIPS, SVN, Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, MS Office.
