Responsibilities
- Lead the inspection and verification of quantity and quality for petroleum, petrochemical, and chemical products during ship, barge, and pipeline transfers, following management systems, applicable international and local standards, and customer requirements.
- Oversee measurement and calibration tasks in line with company standards, legal obligations, and client specifications.
- Conduct visual observation, volume and temperature measurement, and sampling of commodity materials in lines, barge tanks, ship tanks, shore tanks, and other vessels.
- Ensure received orders and instructions from the immediate supervisor are understood and documented.
- Attend commodity material movements involving line and tank transfers, displacement, loading, and unloading.
- Participate in intervention meetings and report to the job site punctually.
- Communicate and coordinate with terminal, transport, and company personnel, adhering to applicable operation and safety rules, regulations, and standards to facilitate smooth execution of assigned duties.
- Act ethically at all times.
- Report any problems, discrepancies, or noteworthy incidents to the Operations Executive (OE) without delay.
- Calculate quantities promptly and accurately, perform full reconciliation, complete all required documents, and distribute copies appropriately.
- Sign field inspection reports based on the inspection services performed.
- Label sample containers with complete and correct identifying data, including location of sample, commodity/product, type of sample, inspector's name, date, and time collected.
- Deliver samples to the laboratory for analysis or retain, or to customer facilities for analysis or retain, promptly and safely.
- Prepare necessary forms, materials, equipment, appropriate personal protective equipment, and other job-related requirements before proceeding to the work site.
- Ensure all equipment is in good operating condition, including calibration, verification, and cleanliness, covering safety and monitoring equipment appropriate for the job.
- Perform routine equipment calibration, verification, and function checks, and monitor the availability of equipment and supplies needed for inspection jobs.
- Inform the OE of any needs for such supplies.
- Maintain work areas, records, and equipment in a clean, organized, and functional condition.
- Assist the OE in addressing customer complaints and audit findings through efficient service quality investigation, including root cause analysis and effective corrective or preventive actions.
- Perform work assignments in any operational areas when needed to meet operational commitments.
- Request cash advances or payments for inspection operation expenses, subject to OE review and approval per financial policies and procedures.
- Ensure instructions from the immediate supervisor are understood and documented.
- Prepare necessary forms, materials, equipment, and other job-related requirements before proceeding to the work site, including ensuring equipment is suitable and adequate with updated identification, calibration, and verification.
- Physically perform all calibration and measurement activities using various methods and techniques per company, statutory, regulatory, client requirements, and API procedures.
- Prepare reports and conduct re-checks of reports prior to submission.

- Able to work flexible schedules as needed to meet inspection operation commitments, including accepting job assignments at any time, 24/7, even on scheduled days off.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing numerous concurrent inspection operations.
- Must be able to work in ports, terminals, and on-board marine vessels as needed, with a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card potentially required for access.
