Responsibilities
- Interprets work orders or verbal guidance to identify required materials for transfer
- Feeds, removes, flexes, jogs, and stacks printed sheets, folded signatures, labels, or in-process items to and from machinery in assigned zones
- Manually loads and unloads materials onto and from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves
- Loads freight into trucks and secures contents with strapping, bracing, or padding using hand tools to prevent damage during transport
- Transports materials between storage locations, workstations, and designated areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, or similar equipment
- Counts, weighs, and logs the number of material units handled or moved on daily production records
- Applies identification tags or labels to materials or writes tracking details directly on containers such as cases or bales
- Bundles materials and secures them with bands using a banding machine and clincher
- Operates automated systems, industrial trucks, or electric hoists to support material movement and loading tasks
