Metova is looking for a Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our data is accurate, accessible, and actionable, helping our clients leverage their information for better decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipeline architectures.
- Optimize data ingestion, storage, and processing workflows.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and convert requirements into technical specifications.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
- Implement data security and compliance measures.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data systems performance issues.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data engineering.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of ETL tools and databases (SQL and NoSQL).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and/or Java.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proven ability to design and build scalable data management systems.
- Strong focus on data quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with microservices architectures and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with real-time data processing technologies (Apache Kafka, Apache Spark).
