About the Role

This position involves supporting and maintaining core IT infrastructure, diagnosing technical problems, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and securely.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor network and system performance to identify and resolve issues promptly
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Provide hands-on support for hardware and software deployments
  • Troubleshoot connectivity and infrastructure-related incidents
  • Assist with data center operations and physical equipment maintenance
  • Respond to service tickets and escalate complex issues as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and changes
  • Support backup and recovery procedures for critical systems
  • Perform routine system updates and security patching
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve infrastructure outages
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and operational standards
  • Assist in the rollout of new technology across locations
  • Verify network availability and performance across sites
  • Support cloud-based infrastructure components
  • Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support
  • Conduct hardware diagnostics and replace faulty components
  • Assist with IP address management and subnetting
  • Monitor system logs for signs of performance degradation
  • Support remote access solutions for distributed users
  • Implement and maintain network monitoring tools
  • Assist in disaster recovery planning and testing
  • Follow change management procedures for system modifications
  • Ensure proper labeling and organization of network assets
  • Work with vendors to resolve hardware or service issues
  • Maintain awareness of emerging infrastructure threats and trends

On-Call Requirements

This role includes participation in a rotating on-call schedule to support after-hours incidents and system outages. Technicians are expected to respond to critical alerts within defined timeframes and coordinate with escalation teams as needed.

Physical Demands

The position requires regular lifting of equipment up to 40 pounds, working in server rooms with elevated noise levels, and standing for extended periods during installations or maintenance.
