The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end management of IT infrastructure, covering both cloud-based and on-premises environments. This role ensures the stability, security, and scalability of critical systems and services, contributing directly to business continuity and service reliability. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, monitor, and enhance infrastructure solutions that support modern application delivery and enterprise operations. Key Responsibilities: - Infrastructure Design & Implementation: Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing IT infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-premises environments, aligned with business and technical requirements. - Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with software development and DevOps teams to ensure infrastructure is optimized for efficient, reliable, and secure application deployment and lifecycle management. - System Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Monitor infrastructure health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and service continuity. - Maintenance & Support: Provide ongoing support, incident resolution, system upgrades, and enhancements to existing infrastructure components including servers, networks, databases, and storage systems. - Security & & Compliance: Implement and maintain robust security practices, ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry standards, including access controls, patch management, and data protection measures. - Technology Evaluation & Innovation: Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to drive innovation and efficiency across infrastructure operations. - Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular updates to management on system performance, incident metrics, infrastructure improvements, and risk mitigation strategies. Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure configurations and procedures. This is a hybrid position, requiring 2 days per week in the office located in Olaias, Lisbon. Fluency in both Portuguese and English is required for effective communication with local and international teams.
