Responsibilities
- Deliver frontline technical assistance for computing systems, networking components, and IT services essential to mission and training functions.
- Set up, adjust, and maintain desktop computers, servers, peripheral devices, and networked equipment while resolving technical issues.
- Support both Windows and Linux operating environments, including managing user accounts, performing system administration, and conducting regular maintenance.
- Help operate and supervise physical, virtualized, and cloud-hosted infrastructure platforms.
- Provide support for virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM, and Xen, including routine administration and issue resolution.
- Track network and system performance metrics, detect anomalies, and escalate advanced problems when necessary.
- Contribute to enforcing security protocols, addressing vulnerabilities, and adhering to organizational cyber defense standards.
- Support infrastructure modernization, hardware rollouts, software setup, and configuration control processes.
- Keep accurate records of technical procedures, equipment inventory, and operational guidelines.
- Work with network, systems, and cybersecurity personnel to maintain consistent and secure IT operations.
