Responsibilities
- Deliver full-cycle Linux support for hosted systems, handling customer escalation cases as needed.
- Administer Linux servers by fulfilling deployment requests, configuring operating system settings, connecting storage resources, and optimizing system performance.
- Provision, set up, and secure new Linux instances according to organizational standards.
- Deploy and configure necessary software components across environments.
- Address technical debt by executing scheduled system refreshes and version upgrades.
- Maintain system security through regular patching, compliance adjustments, and baseline hardening.
- Manage network access by setting up and verifying IP allow-listing rules.
- Transfer physical and virtual servers to updated Cary Linux platforms and Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
- Decommission outdated systems and environments in compliance with internal policies.
- Enable external access by configuring and maintaining public URL endpoints.
- Collaborate with Compliance teams to meet CIS standards, support audits, and adhere to regulated hosting guidelines.
- Automate workflows and integrations in Azure using native APIs.
- Manage software rollouts and system configurations using Red Hat Satellite.
- Support virtualized environments using VMware; familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker is beneficial.
- Deploy and manage Linux systems in Microsoft Azure, with experience in AWS considered advantageous.
