Responsibilities
- Design and automate comprehensive detection and investigation workflows, enhancing the Detection and Response infrastructure continuously.
- Create alerting and detection strategies to identify malicious or anomalous behavior, including innovative defensive techniques that adjust to changing adversary tactics and methods.
- Analyze network, host, memory, and other artifacts from various operating systems and applications.
- Examine security incidents and active attacks across the enterprise, uncovering advanced threats and recognizing behavioral patterns indicating insider risk.
- Shape and inform security controls aimed at protecting the organization's most critical assets.
- Collaborate closely with other Information Security team members to drive changes in the company's network defense posture.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of extensive security experience on a major platform such as AWS, Azure, Windows, OS X, or Linux.
- Proficiency in Python (preferred), PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.
- Familiarity with endpoint telemetry and log sources from at least one major operating system.
- Experience with common SIEM or SOAR platforms and skill in writing queries against security event data.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
Nice to Have
- Broad exposure to multiple security domains, including a strong background in forensics or threat intelligence.
- Deep experience in Incident Response or Detection Engineering.
- Desire to contribute to the information security community through activities such as conference talks, blog posts, or public tool development.
- Comfort working independently and engaging across business levels to advise on security outcomes.
