The CDC Foundation is hiring an Informatics Epidemiologist to provide critical support for Nevada State Funded Programs (SFP). This full-time role will apply informatics and epidemiological expertise to public health data initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Support Nevada State Funded Programs (SFP) through informatics and epidemiological analysis.
- Develop and manage public health data systems to monitor and report on health trends.
- Design and implement data collection strategies to support program evaluation and decision-making.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns and inform public health interventions.
- Collaborate with public health partners to translate data findings into actionable guidance.
What We’re Looking For
- Advanced degree in Epidemiology, Public Health Informatics, Biostatistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience applying epidemiological methods and informatics tools in a public health setting.
- Strong proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SAS, R, Python) and data management.
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with or supporting state-level public health programs.
Work Mode
This is a full-time, remote position. Candidates should be prepared to work effectively in a distributed environment. While the role supports Nevada programs, physical presence in Nevada is not required.
