About the Role
This role is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of industry-facing events that strengthen relationships, enhance visibility, and create opportunities for collaboration and growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of industry events, including conferences, panels, and networking functions
- Develop event strategies aligned with business objectives and audience needs
- Identify and prioritize high-impact industry events for participation
- Coordinate logistics for in-person, virtual, and hybrid event formats
- Manage event timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships
- Collaborate with marketing to promote event presence and amplify reach
- Design and oversee branded event spaces and materials
- Recruit and prepare speakers and representatives for event participation
- Track and report on event performance using defined success metrics
- Gather feedback from attendees and stakeholders to improve future events
- Build relationships with industry partners and event organizers
- Ensure consistent messaging across all event platforms and touchpoints
- Support lead generation and relationship-building efforts during events
- Stay current on industry trends and emerging event technologies
- Develop post-event follow-up processes to maintain engagement
- Coordinate travel and accommodations for team members attending events
- Maintain an annual event calendar with key dates and milestones
- Evaluate event ROI and make data-driven recommendations
- Train internal teams on event roles and responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with legal and safety requirements for events
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Experience in a startup or high-growth company
- Background in community or developer relations
- Familiarity with technical audiences and jargon
- Event certification such as CMP or CSEP
- Experience with global event logistics
- Knowledge of sustainability practices in event planning
