Responsibilities
- Prepare indirect tax returns for Singapore, Australia, and other key territories within the APAC region
- Occasionally prepare Wise Indirect Tax returns globally
- Work with members of the finance team to extract relevant data
- Ensure processes are fully documented
- Ensure controls are operating effectively
- Review and reconcile tax returns back to financial data
- Eventually take ownership of the overall Indirect Tax reporting process for relevant returns across the APAC region
- Adhere to controls, manage risks and judgement schedules
- Manage the end-to-end process with external advisors
- Support the rest of the Indirect Tax team in managing and optimising the overall Indirect Tax positions of the group
- Conduct ad hoc technical research
- Lead technical projects
- Identify and suggest improvements to existing processes
- Liaise with external advisors to ensure tax requirements for new geographies or products are properly understood, captured, reported, and communicated
- Develop strong relationships with the accounting team and financial controllers
- Ensure the impact of Indirect Taxes is understood and reflected in the financial statements
- Work with others within the Indirect Tax team or Regional Tax team to support broader Indirect Tax consulting opportunities, depending on candidate’s desire and capacity

- Experience in managing and overseeing Indirect Tax Compliance functions
