Responsibilities
- Select and prepare ingredients through washing, cutting, and mixing processes
- Perform ongoing evaluations of food for doneness, flavor, and appearance, adjusting as required
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and consistent food quality
- Oversee kitchen assistants, providing guidance and corrections when necessary
- Monitor ingredient stock levels, place orders, and inspect incoming deliveries
- Carry out daily cleaning of work areas, kitchen tools, and equipment
- Report equipment malfunctions and handle minor technical problems
- Offer suggestions for improving menus, dish composition, and kitchen workflows
