About the Role

The In-country Operations Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of local operations, ensuring compliance, optimizing performance, and supporting the expansion of financial services within the region.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations within the country to ensure smooth execution of business activities
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and licensing requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships with local partners, regulators, and financial institutions
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements to operational efficiency
  • Lead onboarding and training for local teams and partners
  • Coordinate with product and technology teams to adapt solutions for local needs
  • Manage country-specific risk and fraud prevention strategies
  • Act as primary point of contact for internal teams on local market developments
  • Support market expansion initiatives and new product launches
  • Ensure customer support processes meet local expectations and service standards
  • Drive adoption of financial products through targeted local engagement
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on operational performance and market insights
  • Collaborate with finance teams on budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Implement and maintain data privacy and security standards in line with local regulations
  • Facilitate communication between global leadership and local stakeholders
  • Respond to operational issues with timely and effective solutions
  • Ensure branding and messaging align with local culture and regulations
  • Support audit processes and regulatory examinations
  • Manage vendor relationships specific to the country operation
  • Promote a culture of accountability, compliance, and customer focus
  • Track changes in the regulatory landscape and advise on necessary actions
  • Optimize on-the-ground processes for scalability and cost-efficiency
  • Contribute to strategic planning based on local market intelligence
  • Ensure alignment between global objectives and local execution
  • Support crisis management and business continuity planning locally
