About the Role
The technician will be responsible for ensuring HVAC systems operate efficiently through installation, preventive maintenance, and repair services in various customer environments.
Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC equipment according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Perform routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems to ensure efficiency
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in air conditioning and heating units
- Test system components such as thermostats, compressors, and motors
- Respond to emergency service calls in a timely manner
- Follow safety protocols when handling refrigerants and electrical systems
- Provide clients with clear explanations of repair needs and maintenance recommendations
- Keep accurate service records and complete work orders
- Replace outdated or damaged HVAC parts with approved components
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Use hand and power tools to assemble and adjust system parts
- Inspect ductwork for leaks and proper airflow
- Collaborate with team members on complex installations
- Maintain company vehicle and tools in good working condition
- Adhere to company policies and professional conduct standards
Nice to Have
- NATE or HVAC Excellence certification
- Experience with smart thermostat integration
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication
- Additional certifications in electrical or plumbing
- Experience using service management software
Compensation
