Pearce Services is hiring a HVAC Technician

About the Role

The technician will be responsible for ensuring HVAC systems operate efficiently through installation, preventive maintenance, and repair services in various customer environments.

Responsibilities

  • Install new HVAC equipment according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards
  • Perform routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems to ensure efficiency
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in air conditioning and heating units
  • Test system components such as thermostats, compressors, and motors
  • Respond to emergency service calls in a timely manner
  • Follow safety protocols when handling refrigerants and electrical systems
  • Provide clients with clear explanations of repair needs and maintenance recommendations
  • Keep accurate service records and complete work orders
  • Replace outdated or damaged HVAC parts with approved components
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Use hand and power tools to assemble and adjust system parts
  • Inspect ductwork for leaks and proper airflow
  • Collaborate with team members on complex installations
  • Maintain company vehicle and tools in good working condition
  • Adhere to company policies and professional conduct standards

Nice to Have

  • NATE or HVAC Excellence certification
  • Experience with smart thermostat integration
  • Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication
  • Additional certifications in electrical or plumbing
  • Experience using service management software

Compensation

Competitive hourly wage with overtime opportunities and full benefits package including health insurance and retirement plans.

Work Arrangement

On-site with regular travel to customer locations; some weekend and emergency call work may be required.
