Responsibilities
- Deploy and resolve issues with the application in clustered setups
- Apply updates and perform upgrades on HP OMw systems
- Develop custom monitoring solutions
- Design perfmon or custom scripts compatible with HPOMw integration
- Diagnose and resolve issues with rogue agents and the HP OMw Management Console
- Integrate and roll out SPIs and additional monitoring tools with HPOMw
- Experience must cover versions 9.1 through 9.2
- Extensive background managing HPOM across multiple monitoring projects, including scripting and administrative tasks
- Practical expertise with HP Operations Manager on Windows or UNIX platforms
- Write automation scripts to forcibly remove OM/OVO monitoring agents from Windows and Linux systems
- Familiarity with network protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, SMTP, DNS, SSH, TELNET, SNMP, and FTP
- Basic experience administering Windows Server systems
- Proficiency in shell and Perl scripting
- Hands-on experience with tools such as NNMi, Operations Orchestration, SiteScope, BSM, and BPM
- Administrative experience with HP Operations Manager for Unix and Linux environments
- Experience developing and maintaining OM monitoring policies
- Demonstrated ability to deploy agents to servers and configure alerting mechanisms
- Fundamental Linux system administration skills
- Install and maintain HPOM configurations on managed nodes
- Set up and adjust HPOMw configurations
