About the Role

The housekeeper ensures all areas of the remote camp are maintained to high standards of cleanliness and safety, supporting the well-being of residents and staff through reliable and thorough service.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize living quarters, washrooms, and common areas daily
  • Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and cleaning materials
  • Follow health and safety protocols for hazardous materials
  • Report maintenance or repair issues promptly
  • Adhere to cleaning schedules and checklists
  • Dispose of waste according to environmental guidelines
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Operate cleaning machinery safely and efficiently
  • Ensure high standards of hygiene in food service areas
  • Follow infection control procedures
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks on assigned rotations
  • Respond to special cleaning requests from residents or staff
  • Comply with occupational health and safety regulations
  • Use personal protective equipment as required
  • Assist with laundry and linen management
  • Support emergency preparedness procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding resident information
