Responsibilities
- Demonstrate understanding of safety and quality standard operating procedures related to coding and converting.
- Execute scheduled slitting and converting jobs using the slitter equipment.
- Collaborate with material handling staff to support departmental and facility-wide objectives.
- Minimize waste by managing trim and efficiently using available stock; rewind or splice partial rolls to improve material utilization and conduct salvage tasks as needed.
- Operate and adjust slitter machinery to meet precise paper specifications.
- Prepare in advance for production runs to reduce machine downtime and ensure materials are ready for current and upcoming shifts.
- Ensure output meets required standards for both quality and volume.
- Maintain accurate records by completing log sheets and entering data into the PWMS system for reliable production and inventory tracking.
- Work with maintenance personnel to uphold equipment performance and escalate issues to supervisors promptly.
- Support team-based workflows and collaborative operations.
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by management.
- Assist in training current and new team members on processes and procedures.
