Responsibilities
- Design and sustain enterprise-level interoperability frameworks using HL7 version 2, version 3, CDA, and FHIR specifications
- Lead the deployment of secure health information exchange solutions connecting VistA systems, commercial off-the-shelf applications, and external partner systems
- Ensure alignment with VA Technical Reference Model, One-VA Enterprise Architecture, and federal cybersecurity requirements
- Develop and maintain HL7-based interfaces, including integration with VistA components such as TIU and other clinical platforms
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to development teams on interoperability standards and best practices
- Create and manage architectural documentation, including design patterns, interface definitions, and concepts of operations
- Work collaboratively within Agile teams to identify technical risks, establish milestones, and support end-to-end project delivery
- Perform additional duties as assigned to meet team goals and ensure project success
