Responsibilities
- Contribute to defining requirements during the specification phase for Hardware-in-the-Loop test systems
- Develop and maintain plant models used within HIL environments
- Coordinate the assembly of test equipment for algorithm validation
- Create software verification tests for vehicle software components using HIL platforms
- Develop automated testing approaches for improved efficiency
- Configure and conduct validation tests on target control units
- Collaborate with algorithm, software, hardware, and calibration teams to clarify requirements
- Analyze data collected from test systems
- Document identified software issues in tracking systems
- Support planning and execution of assigned engineering tasks
- Engage in project lifecycle phases including marketing input, technical analysis, specifications, planning, testing, data review, and validation
- Contribute to advancements in technology, processes, tools, and knowledge sharing
- Lead and organize customer-facing meetings
- Provide technical leadership through mentoring, feedback, and clear communication of team objectives
- Estimate effort and support project planning
- Own development of plant models and communication interfaces
- Design and implement wiring harness solutions
- Define software and hardware needs for HIL simulations
- Diagnose and resolve HIL simulation issues
- Optimize plant models for performance and accuracy
- Support automation of test procedures
- Take part in project proposal efforts
- Propose enhancements for simulation accuracy and effectiveness
- Help build expertise in modeling and HIL simulation capabilities
