Responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis to support public health initiatives
- Assist in the design and implementation of research studies and program evaluations
- Interpret scientific data and translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess health program effectiveness
- Prepare reports, manuscripts, and presentations for stakeholders and clients
- Support grant proposal development with data-driven insights and literature reviews
- Maintain data integrity and adhere to ethical research standards
- Utilize statistical software for data management and analysis
- Engage in literature reviews to inform project design and methodology
- Contribute to the development of data collection instruments and protocols
- Participate in client meetings and project planning sessions
- Monitor project timelines and deliverables in coordination with team leads
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational research guidelines
- Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences
- Support knowledge translation and dissemination efforts
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in health research or evaluation
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software such as R, SAS, or SPSS
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with survey design and data collection methods
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate complex data
- Knowledge of public health principles and research ethics
- Familiarity with federal health data systems and databases
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Project management experience in a research or consulting setting
- Experience preparing peer-reviewed publications or technical reports
- Understanding of health disparities and social determinants of health
- Skill in using data visualization tools
- Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and scientific rigor
- Willingness to adapt to evolving project needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in a health-related discipline
- Experience working with federal or state public health agencies
- Background in health services research or program evaluation
- Advanced proficiency in R or Python for data analysis
- Familiarity with mixed-methods research approaches
