Sequence is hiring a Head of Finance / Expert in Residence [XIR]

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing month end close / reconciliation with our fractional teams
  • Owning revenue recognition policy and audit readiness
  • Hiring and bringing accounting fully inhouse
  • Playing central role in product feedback and prioritization for our ASC 606 / IFRS 15 rev rec and billing modules
  • Owning quarterly finance board pack
  • Managing liquidity balances across bank accounts
  • Establishing more robust and scalable processes & procedures across our finance stack: QBO (US ERP), Xero (UK ERP), Sequence (Accounts Receivable & Quote to Cash), Ramp (Accounts Payable), Gusto (US Payroll), Payfit (UK Payroll)

Sequence emerged from the challenges that my co-founder Eamon and I faced while scaling B2B companies for over a decade. We experienced firsthand how existing tools failed to automate revenue collection for custom contracts and pricing strategies, whether usage-based, seat-based, or involving custom trials and ramps.

We're building Sequence to empower B2B finance and commercial teams to automate and scale revenue workflows — from creating and signing contracts to automating billing, invoicing and revenue recognition. Our ambition is to unify sales and finance teams currently disconnected by fragmented tools and siloed data.
