Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the financial and regulatory reporting strategy for Canada, establishing future-state operating models, data standards, and full-cycle processes for Form 31-103F1, CIRO Form 1, and all filings with OSC and CIRO, from data collection to submission
- Represent Finance in engagements with Canadian regulators, including OSC and CIRO, managing examinations, inquiries, and regulatory communications, along with Board-level updates and disclosures
- Define and maintain IFRS-compliant accounting practices, including parallel ledger management, reconciliations, and documentation of adjustments, ensuring controls are robust, scalable, and prepared for audit
- Collaborate with senior leaders across Tax, Treasury, Legal, COO, CCO, and the Board to support capital planning, liquidity oversight, and compliance with Canadian regulatory requirements
- Advance the automation and AI-driven evolution of financial reporting, setting standards for workflow design, documentation, iteration, and governance
- Build and scale the finance function by defining performance expectations, developing talent, creating leadership pipelines, mentoring staff, and managing external service providers with accountability to KPIs and SLAs
