Responsibilities
- Engage in both strategic planning and daily operations related to the company's buildings and premises.
- Plan future development in alignment with strategic business objectives.
- Create and implement facility management policies and procedures.
- Oversee building and grounds maintenance, including space management.
- Manage projects, jointly supervising and coordinating contractor work with the Admin team.
- Ensure the building meets health and safety requirements and standards.
- Plan optimal allocation and utilization of space and resources for new buildings or reorganize current premises as needed.
- Verify that work by staff or contractors is completed satisfactorily according to agreed terms and follow up on any deficiencies.
- Ensure maintenance of all company buildings and grounds, including branch offices and residences.
- Manage janitorial services by closely monitoring the cleaning company.
- Oversee maintenance and installation of all electrical and plumbing fittings.
- Ensure electricity generators are operational at all times when needed.
- Procure diesel for all locations where the company has a generator.
- Procure and maintain furniture and fittings.
- Maintain the Executive residence, Guest house, and Expatriate residence.
- Procure and maintain furniture and fittings.
- Implement energy management solutions, including creating energy-saving guidelines to reduce expenses such as diesel consumption and generator pressure, and introduce alternative energy sources where possible.
- Handle contractor and service provider selection jointly with Admin.
- Liaise with all relevant regulatory bodies and utility providers to ensure business activities in all facilities run smoothly.
- Ensure strict adherence to all service level agreements.
- Ensure service providers deliver value commensurate with their compensation.
- Use performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels and lead improvements.
- Supervise and develop the FM Officer and two technicians.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
