Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day duties on site needed to complete work in a safe and timely fashion
- Maintain a clean work site
- Work as a contributing member of the site team
Requirements
- Basic comprehension and ability to follow SECURE’s Workplace Health and Safety requirements relevant to the assigned work site, including but not limited to SECURE’s “Stop & Think Process” and SECURE’s “Hazard Assessment Process”
- Ability to complete safety documentation in an accurate and timely manner
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, shoveling, moving containers and other heavy materials
- Strong work ethic and willingness to persevere through difficult weather conditions, challenging work site environments, and long demanding work days
- Must have an understanding of all power and small tools
Nice to Have
- Metals experience
- Welding experience would be an asset
- Experience with liquid oxygen, propane and metallurgy would be considered an asset
- Related experience working with a torch/plasma is an asset
- Oil and gas industry experience would be an asset
- Certification in WHIMS, H2S, CSTS, First Aid would be considered an asset
Work Arrangement
On-site — Western Canada
Additional Information
- Work hours: Monday to Friday, 3pm to 12am
- Must adhere to safety program and participate in daily tail gates, last minute risk assessment, and other safety meetings
- Must perform pre-operational checks on equipment
- Must clean, lubricate, and fuel equipment and perform general site housekeeping
- Physical tasks include lifting, shoveling, moving containers, and handling heavy materials
- Must work in difficult weather conditions, challenging work site environments, and long demanding work days
- Must complete safety documentation accurately and in a timely manner
