Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the annual risk assessment process by collecting risk data from audits, management discussions, and evolving risk trends.
- Maintain up-to-date risk assessments each quarter to reflect shifts in operations, strategic focus, and risk exposure.
- Support execution of the approved Annual Internal Audit Plan by managing assigned audit projects on schedule and per methodology.
- Organize and lead key audit meetings including kick-off, progress updates, exit, and close-out sessions with relevant parties.
- Create and deliver initial information request lists to auditees after kick-off meetings.
- Notify the Group Head of Internal Audit promptly of any expected delays in receiving requested documentation.
- Develop and maintain business process documentation, including updates to Process Risk Registers.
- Design Risk and Control Matrices (RACMs), audit programs, and sampling plans for review and approval.
- Perform audit testing in line with approved frameworks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Identify control deficiencies or design flaws and propose practical, risk-focused improvements.
- Attend audit review meetings and consult with leadership when guidance is needed.
- Collaborate directly with process owners and stakeholders to understand operations and verify process knowledge.
- Oversee assigned audit engagements, ensuring proper supervision and reporting to senior leadership.
- Conduct comprehensive, systematic data collection and analysis during audits.
- Ensure audit plans are followed as designed and resolve auditee concerns professionally and quickly.
- Draft clear, high-quality audit reports that accurately present findings and underlying causes.
- Evaluate management’s responses, clarify actions, and update final reports with oversight from leadership.
- Ensure all audits are delivered within approved timeframes and budgets, escalating potential delays or scope changes proactively.
- Support the timely delivery of draft and final reports and assist in preparing materials for Audit Committee review.
- Help prepare quarterly Board Audit Committee presentations covering audit results, key issues, and follow-up status.
- Track the progress of audit recommendation implementation and report updates to leadership each quarter.
- Foster strong working relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders across business units.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts independently at multiple locations across the UAE.
- Carry out special reviews, compliance checks, or advisory assignments as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Group Head of Internal Audit.
