The Group Senior Accountant at eyeo will lead group accounting activities in accordance with German GAAP and IFRS, oversee financial consolidation, ensure compliance with German tax regulations, manage accounting system implementations and migrations—including from LucaNet to NetSuite—and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise and the ability to lead cross-functionally in a dynamic tech environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead group accounting activities in accordance with German GAAP and IFRS
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations with a solid understanding of German tax requirements
- Implement and manage accounting systems
- Oversee consolidation under German GAAP and IFRS across multiple jurisdictions
- Manage system migrations such as LucaNet to NetSuite
- Oversee LucaNet and NetSuite operations
- Implement Multi-Book and OneWorld in NetSuite
- Take ownership of the planned migration of group consolidation from LucaNet to NetSuite
- Design and build scalable and high-impact accounting systems and processes
- Map system components and optimize chart of accounts with ownership
- Optimize accounting processes for accuracy, compliance, and scalability
- Leverage data and analytics to understand financial performance, reporting integrity, and financial planning and analysis
- Identify bottlenecks and optimize processes
- Ensure robust financial controls across the group
- Produce consolidated financial statements and reports with clarity and precision
- Document processes and system mappings
- Lead projects spanning system setup, process mapping, and group consolidation
- Influence cross-functional teams
- Work closely with local Senior Accountants to support accounting activities
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closes
- Break initiatives down into clear roadmaps that systematically deliver value and mitigate risk
- Drive initiatives independently while bringing others along
What We're Looking For
- Thorough knowledge of German GAAP
- Solid understanding of German tax requirements
- Fundamental knowledge of NetSuite
- Basic knowledge of LucaNet for consolidation and migration projects
- At least 7 years of proven experience leading projects
- Long experience working in tech companies and startups
- Excellent communication skills in English and German
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Judgement and empathy for both users and peers
- Ability to drive complex initiatives with confidence
