Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in satellite command and control systems or complex hardware-software integration projects
- Eligibility to secure a U.S. Security Clearance
- Strong programming skills in languages including Python, C++, or Java
- Proven background in real-time embedded software development or connecting hardware components with mission-critical software platforms
- Working knowledge of Git, GitHub, or equivalent version control systems
- Advanced ability to analyze technical systems and resolve complex integration issues
- Highly resourceful and adaptable, capable of integrating diverse mission requirements into software frameworks while solving novel challenges efficiently
- Strategic thinking about the long-term scalability and expansion of command and control infrastructure
- Self-motivated with the ability to drive projects independently and deliver on schedule with limited supervision
- Commitment to high standards in software quality, maintainability, fault tolerance, and system performance
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical teams, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for varied audiences
Nice to Have
- Experience with satellite communication protocols such as CCSDS, CSP, CFDP, IP, and associated data processing methods
- Familiarity with standardized command and telemetry formats like XTCE or MIB, or equivalent standards from other domains
- Knowledge of encryption standards including AES-256 GCM, AES-256 CFB, AES-256 ECB, and NSA Type 1 algorithms such as PEGASUS and CARIBOU
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudWatch, S3, EFS/EBS, EC2, and RDS
- Background in using and contributing to open source software projects
