Eurofins Belgium NL is hiring a Grain Inspector (Part-Time/Afternoon)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain smooth movement of grain samples through the testing facility and ensure consistent grain delivery.
  • Serve as substitute for grain probing or sampling duties when needed.
  • Ensure precise documentation and communication of test outcomes to clients or truck drivers.
  • Act as a point of contact between the facility and client merchandising teams.
  • Perform grain analysis using visual inspection and digital tools, measuring weight, moisture, impurities, damage, and potential contaminants like mycotoxins or GMO content.
  • Support onboarding by training new grain inspectors in testing procedures and protocols.
  • Help assess the competence and preparedness of trainees before they take on independent testing roles.
  • Operate essential laboratory instruments in compliance with USDA grain grading standards.
  • Uphold professional and ethical standards in all interactions with the public and customers to reflect positively on the organization.

Laboratory and client-facing grain inspection team

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper flow of sample testing through the facility and steady flow of grain to the facility.
  • Act as a back-up to Grain Prober/Sampler.
  • Responsible for accuracy in reporting results; record test results and provide information to the client or grain truck driver.
  • Represent Eurofins Grain Inspection to client company by acting as a liaison between facility and client grain company merchandisers.
  • Test samples of grain by accepted industry practice using visual procedure and computerized equipment, test sample for weight, moisture, foreign material, damage; including potential mycotoxin and non-gmo testing.
  • Assist in training incoming Grain Inspectors in all aspects of grain inspection and respective testing.
  • Assist in evaluating ability and readiness of new inspectors to assume responsibility for testing.
  • Demonstrate ability to operate all required basic lab equipment within department in accordance to USDA grain standards.
  • Promote the company image through the exercising of sound and ethical business practices related to the public and our customers.

  • Pay: $16.00/Hr.
  • Shift: Monday - Friday 12:30p-6:30p, some Saturdays
  • Training will be provided
  • Must ensure accuracy in reporting results
  • Must operate lab equipment according to USDA grain standards
