Responsibilities
- Evaluate grain samples for moisture content, weight, presence of foreign substances, mycotoxins, and non-GMO characteristics
- Document test outcomes accurately and relay findings to drivers, sales personnel, and agricultural producers
- Ensure consistent movement of samples through the laboratory to support efficient grain handling
- Step in as a substitute sampler or prober when needed and manage associated documentation
- Build and maintain reliable relationships between the testing facility, growers, and grain businesses
- Uphold cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance in the lab environment
- Remain informed about current USDA grain classification standards
- Support a cooperative and principled workplace that respects each individual's contribution
