Responsibilities
- Analyze grain samples for moisture levels, weight, contaminants, mycotoxins, non-GMO characteristics, and other quality indicators
- Document and report test outcomes accurately to drivers, traders, and agricultural producers
- Ensure consistent and timely movement of samples through laboratory processes
- Support sampling operations as an alternate prober and manage associated documentation
- Serve as a reliable point of contact between testing services, growers, and grain businesses
- Uphold cleanliness, safety, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in the lab
- Remain informed about current USDA standards for grain classification and inspection
- Promote a cooperative and principled workplace culture that respects all contributors
