Medtronic is hiring a Global Sales Training Principal Specialist

About the Role

The Global Sales Training Principal Specialist will drive sales excellence within Medtronic's Surgical commercial teams by designing and delivering clinical, technical, and selling skills training across Region Led Markets (RLM). This role reports to the Global Director of Sales Training Deployment and works closely with global and regional teams to standardize and tailor training programs for new hires, product launches, and organizational changes.

What You'll Do

  • Drive sales excellence within the Surgical commercial teams by collaborating with global and regional training, sales, and marketing to create and deliver clinical and technical training for the Surgical business.
  • Ensure training maintains approximately 80% global standardization with 20% tailored customization for the RLM.
  • Ensure effective program design and implementation to address the needs of new hires, current employees, leadership, and support functions across the RLM.
  • Identify knowledge and skill gaps within the sales teams and propose a targeted training solution to enhance team capabilities.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and regional training teams to execute training programs including technical, clinical, and selling skills content.
  • Facilitate successful new hire sales representatives training, existing sales recertifications, product launches, and organizational structure changes.
  • Deliver hands-on training at Medtronic corporate offices worldwide, including regular international travel and flexible working hours.

What We're Looking For

  • 5 years combined experience in two or more of the following functions: medical device sales or marketing, training delivery, or other relevant areas.
  • Strong track record and demonstration of individual and team results.
  • Strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, a genuine enthusiasm for training and development, and a commitment to team results.
  • In-depth knowledge of successful field sales and support organization structure, processes, and culture.
  • Excellent influencing, interpersonal, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills with demonstrated leadership and coaching capabilities.
  • Experience in multicultural organizations, notably different learning and communication styles.
  • Proven track record of navigating and collaborating within a global matrix organization.
  • Experience with project management/project leadership, excellent planning, organizational skills, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex projects concurrently.
  • Proficient spoken and written English capabilities.

Nice to Have

  • Proven record of quota success across Surgical Stapling, Surgical Energy, Hernia, and Suture product portfolios.
  • Demonstrated strong commercial acumen and a consistent commitment to achieving results.
  • Actively involved in sales training programs.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring new or less experienced sellers to deliver measurable positive outcomes.
  • Demonstrated leadership in driving change.
  • Creative and innovative approach within current or previous roles.

Compensation: France: 73,600.00 EUR - 110,400.00 EUR, Italy: 67,200.00 EUR - 100,800.00 EUR, Poland: 228,000.00 PLN - 342,000.00 PLN, Spain: 68,400.00 EUR - 102,600.00 EUR. Additional incentive through the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

Work Mode

  • Hybrid work model
  • Flexible work location within the CEMA region
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, including regular international travel and flexible working hours
