Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of shipping solutions that are cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with customer expectations and operational goals
- Establish and monitor vendor performance indicators and region-specific key performance metrics
- Guide and direct the logistics team to ensure high-quality execution and operational excellence
- Oversee the progress of Europe-focused initiatives, tasks, risk assessments, and deliverables
- Manage training programs for team members to ensure clarity on procedures, systems, and regulatory compliance
- Act as a subject matter expert with deep understanding of European markets, logistics regulations, customs protocols, and carrier capabilities
- Cultivate strong partnerships with vendors to resolve delivery issues and explore joint improvement opportunities
- Design and launch innovative shipping programs tailored to assigned regional lanes
- Set up and continuously enhance logistics processes for designated routes and carriers
- Conduct research, collect data, and analyze trends for specific lanes and projects to generate actionable insights
- Proactively identify and define opportunities to enhance customer service and internal workflows
- Maintain accurate records in the transportation management system, including carrier rates, routing details, transit times, pickup schedules, VAT settings, tracking configurations, and shipping content
- Investigate missing shipments and damaged goods, and monitor package movement between customs brokers and logistics teams
- Identify and implement process improvements in collaboration with internal departments and external partners
- Engage daily with freight forwarders and logistics providers to ensure on-time shipments
- Conduct regular audits, adhere to internal compliance protocols, review logistics workflows, and assist leadership with contract reviews as needed
- Collect vendor quotes and prepare pricing update reports for accounting and management teams
- Monitor and manage transit timelines for assigned lanes, investigating delays with internal teams, carriers, and customs brokers
- Participate in corporate meetings when required
- Support special projects as assigned
