Responsibilities
- Direct the marketing department, fostering a high-performing team to achieve significant growth targets.
- Collaborate with various departments to prioritize and execute marketing initiatives effectively.
- Manage relationships and strategies with external marketing agencies and internal PR teams, aligning responses to policy and operational issues.
- Develop and implement multi-channel product marketing strategies, focusing on high-impact offline channels and social media content, including influencer initiatives.
- Track metrics to assess marketing campaign effectiveness and enhance overall marketing performance over time.
- Continuously refine messaging across all channels and target audiences in various segments.
- Identify and secure partnerships specific to marketing initiatives.
- Establish and manage marketing budgets for each country, monitoring spending to ensure effective resource utilization and strategic budget allocation.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize customer acquisition costs by evaluating campaign performance and channel effectiveness.
- Oversee brand efforts, ensuring consistent and impactful brand communications across all marketing materials and touchpoints.
Requirements
- Proficiency in English and French.
- At least a decade of marketing experience in FMCG, tech start-ups, telco companies, or similar industries.
- Experience in developing or executing B2C marketing strategies in Africa.
- Willingness to travel frequently to operating markets.
