Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of robust data infrastructure, creating data pipelines and platforms that operate reliably at scale and are designed for future maintenance.
- Design data architecture including models, pipelines, and storage solutions for team-specific systems, focusing on scalability and ease of adoption.
- Maintain high standards in code quality by writing testable, clean code and promoting best practices to prevent technical debt and data inconsistencies.
- Bridge business objectives with technical implementation by aligning data engineering efforts with organizational data use and decision-making needs.
- Partner with engineering, product, and data teams to define requirements, set priorities, and deliver solutions that support strategic goals.
- Support peer development through code reviews, documentation, and technical mentorship to strengthen team-wide data engineering practices.
- Proactively identify potential risks such as edge cases, performance bottlenecks, and data integrity issues, and guide mitigation strategies.
- Enhance data systems and workflows by improving testing, monitoring, deployment, and observability to increase efficiency and system stability.
