Responsibilities
- Prepare the work area for pre- and post-operation procedures.
- Handle loading, unloading, and movement of product to equipment or conveyors.
- Monitor production lines and restock packaging materials as needed.
- Sort, weigh, wrap, label, and verify products to meet specifications.
- Inspect output and remove defective items or materials.
- Report to workstation on time, ready to work, and remain until tasks are complete or directed otherwise.
- Work overtime when scheduled and required.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Set up and break down equipment, select preset settings, and use proper body mechanics for lifting, bending, and reaching.
- Follow safety protocols and report any hazards or concerns.
- Complete safety checklists and operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, riders, or forklifts.
- Carry out Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
- Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Modify or create production programs to meet standards.
- Perform additional assigned duties.
- Complete other tasks as directed by supervisors.
