Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and programming of custom spatial databases with strong schema design and data integrity controls.
- Perform advanced spatial analysis, including multi-criteria decision modeling for site evaluation and environmental studies.
- Build and deploy interactive web applications and dashboards using ArcGIS Experience Builder and Dashboards to present complex data clearly.
- Improve project delivery speed by developing and maintaining automation scripts with Python (ArcPy) and ModelBuilder.
- Design repeatable workflows and implement logical expressions such as Arcade to improve data visualization and field collection tools.
- Ensure standardized processes for documentation, metadata, quality assurance, and quality control, aligning with internal or client-specific review standards.
- Manage geodatabases using versioning, metadata practices, and security measures to maintain data reliability and access control.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for project managers, interpreting client requirements into feasible GIS tasks and resource plans.
- Work closely with GIS leads, data analysts, and cross-functional teams to support spatial data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members, promoting technical growth and compliance with project standards.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of GIS, spatial data systems, and database technologies
- Experience using Esri’s mobile, desktop, and web-based GIS platforms
- Familiarity with ETL tools like FME for data integration and transformation
- Ability to lead the acquisition, management, and development of high-quality geospatial datasets
- Skill in enabling teams and clients to explore, interpret, and visualize spatial data effectively
- Demonstrated ability to support decision-making and reporting through geospatial analysis
- Experience designing and coding spatial databases with attention to schema and data integrity
- Proficiency in conducting advanced spatial analytics, including multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA)
- Experience building and deploying web-based GIS applications and dashboards using ArcGIS Experience Builder and Dashboards
- Strong scripting skills using Python (ArcPy) and ModelBuilder for automation
- Experience creating reusable workflows and logical expressions such as Arcade
- Experience managing workflows, documentation, metadata, and QA/QC procedures
- Proven ability to administer geodatabases using versioning, metadata, and security protocols
- Ability to serve as a technical contact for project management teams
- History of collaborating with GIS leads, data analysts, and stakeholders across disciplines
- Experience mentoring junior GIS professionals

- Experience working on linear infrastructure, renewable energy projects (onshore/offshore wind, solar), carbon capture, master planning, permitting, or environmental impact assessments
