Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships by showcasing software capabilities and supporting sales initiatives as part of the account team.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
- Develop deep expertise in utility sectors such as electric, gas, or telecommunications, along with advanced proficiency in ArcGIS technology.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and confidently to clients, ensuring alignment with organizational messaging.
- Anticipate client needs and industry trends to provide forward-thinking guidance.
- Identify customer challenges and design proactive GIS-based solutions that deliver measurable business value.
- Create and present technology strategies that integrate Esri tools with client business objectives.
- Deliver technical demonstrations of proposed systems to illustrate functionality and benefits.
- Design clear, engaging presentations tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Share best practices for deploying, using, and managing geospatial technology effectively.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years working with geospatial technology to create maps, conduct spatial analysis, and configure web-based applications.
- At least one year of professional experience in electric, gas, or telecommunications industries.
- Familiarity with ArcGIS from an information technology perspective, including infrastructure, security, networking, and cloud services.
- Background in technical consulting, solution design, and understanding of sales cycles and business development.
- Hands-on experience with geodatabases and relational database management systems.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS and related computing concepts.
- Strong verbal communication, active listening, and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the U.S. or internationally between 25% and 50% of the time.
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a relevant discipline.
Nice to Have
- Skill in diagnosing and resolving issues related to software deployment and system architecture.
- Experience connecting GIS solutions with enterprise systems like data warehouses, CRM, ERP, BI, and analytics tools.
- Background integrating live data feeds with GIS and existing IT environments.
- Familiarity with foundational concepts in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- Programming experience using languages such as Python or JavaScript for automation and customization.
- Master’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field.
