Responsibilities
- Oversees all manufacturing and service functions, including workforce management, quality assurance, safety protocols, cost control, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, planning, and internal business controls.
- Plans and coordinates daily production and operational activities to maintain efficiency and output targets.
- Manages profit and loss, budgeting, and achievement of financial and performance objectives.
- Leads site operations through clear communication, coaching, and enforcement of accountability.
- Promotes a culture of continuous improvement and rapid issue resolution through fairness, transparency, and collaboration.
- Optimizes inventory management by controlling material requirements to improve turnover and reduce on-hand stock levels.
- Implements systems to achieve ongoing cost reduction goals, specifically targeting a 5% decrease every two years.
- Leverages ERP technology to generate key performance indicators and metrics for operational oversight and enhancement.
- Supports enterprise-wide deployment and adoption of a new ERP platform.
- Assesses labor demands and ensures proper staffing levels aligned with production targets across all facility units.
- Ensures adherence to federal and state regulations as well as internal corporate policies.
- Identifies necessary capital expenditures for growth and improvement initiatives, following established application procedures.
- Collaborates effectively within a matrix organization structure with regional vice presidents and general managers.
- Engages with managers at other manufacturing sites within the global network to share best practices and align operations.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by leadership.
- Works alongside other general managers to uphold the organization’s mission and vision.
