Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger operations with a focus on accuracy, quality, and process efficiency.
- Handle full-cycle fixed asset accounting, including asset construction tracking, reclassifications, additions, disposals, depreciation, and resolution of complex issues in compliance with accounting standards.
- Create and process journal entries, including standard, ad hoc, and complex postings, and resolve system-related errors in AX to support timely financial reporting.
- Review and validate journal entries for correctness, internal control compliance, and alignment with accounting principles.
- Conduct intercompany reconciliations by identifying variances, requesting missing documents, answering routine inquiries, and independently resolving discrepancies.
- Execute comprehensive accounting tasks for designated legal entities across receivables, payables, inventory, intercompany, and treasury functions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate the monthly corporate reporting cycle, including data uploads to Cognos, reconciliation of recurring variances, completion of financial schedules, and investigation of anomalies.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the financial reporting workflow by adhering to Internal Control System (ICS) requirements.
- Maintain and update internal process documentation such as desktop procedures and ICS manuals to reflect current practices and support audit preparedness.
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring clear documentation of balances and escalation of unresolved items.
- Perform subledger reconciliations for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets, resolving standard differences and investigating complex cases independently.
- Conduct monthly analysis of balance sheet and P&L fluctuations, identifying key drivers and providing explanations to support financial transparency.
- Ensure reconciliation records are complete, compliant, and properly followed up to maintain financial integrity and audit readiness.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reporting activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of VAT returns by reviewing all underlying documentation and calculations.
- Support annual audit and tax filing processes through collaboration with external auditors and tax authorities to meet compliance and deadline requirements.
- Generate and deliver standard audit data, including extracting reports from AX, completing templates, and responding to routine requests from auditors and tax teams.
- Support internal and external audit procedures by supplying required documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal control standards.
- Stay current on process changes and exceptions, update process catalogs, and suggest improvements in coordination with relevant teams.
- Provide process support to shared service centers and business units by communicating requirements and staying informed on entity-specific procedures, especially during backup coverage.
- Participate in transition planning by attending knowledge transfer sessions, preparing process summaries, and resolving handover issues to ensure smooth transitions.
- Support client relationship management by aiding communication, identifying stakeholder needs, and delivering timely, professional responses during issue resolution.
- Adjust communication methods based on context to ensure clarity and effectiveness in both written and verbal exchanges, including meetings and calls.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with financial and business controllers by constructively handling escalations and promoting collaborative problem-solving.
- Identify and implement process improvements in daily operations to drive efficiency, enhance team performance, and support continuous improvement goals.
